1. Who we are
DripTorch is operated by FireStarter Analytics, LLC ("we", "us"). Contact: adam@driptorch.co.
2. Data we collect
- Account data — name and email, supplied at signup.
- Precise location — only while you are on shift and the app has foreground or background-location permission. Off-shift, location is not collected.
- Push device identifier — used to deliver dispatch notifications.
- Operational logs — incidents you are assigned to, status transitions, and arrival times. These belong to your agency.
- Crash and performance telemetry — anonymous, used to find bugs.
3. How we use it
We use the data above to operate the dispatch and situational-awareness features of DripTorch. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or behavioral tracking.
4. Sharing
Operational data is shared with other authorized users of your agency on DripTorch (e.g. the on-duty chief sees unit locations during active incidents). We use sub-processors — AWS for hosting, Clerk for authentication — under contract.
5. Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. Operational logs are retained for the period your agency configures (default 24 months). Crash telemetry is retained for 90 days.
6. Your rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing adam@driptorch.co. We respond within 30 days.
7. Children
DripTorch is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
8. Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will post the updated version here and notify active users in-app.
